We’re honored to be named a winner for the 2018 Atlanta E3 Awards, which celebrate companies whose work innovates at the intersection of sustainability and commerce. Roadie was recognized for “Moving the Needle,” a category focused on innovation in transportation, mass transit, or logistics.

Roadie came from this idea of helping each other out and taking things places that people are going to anyway. In those early days, we always thought about the impact this could have on the environment — where folks didn’t need to use packing peanuts or boxes and could rely on those vehicles already on the road.

Get The Nation’s Largest Local Same-Day Footprint.

This type of recognition is a testament to our incredibly hardworking team of innovators, as well as the amazing community of Senders and Drivers who make Roadie so special. Our on-the-way delivery model puts unused capacity in passenger vehicles to work by connecting senders with drivers who are already going that way.  By tapping into the more than four billion cubic feet of unused space in cars already on the road, Roadie creates efficient, sustainable shipping lanes for everything from donuts to dog beds to dressers.

With over 80,000 verified drivers, Roadie makes it possible for companies to ramp up service in new markets in weeks and to quickly scale up by adding employees, customers, and other nearby drivers to the platform. The company has delivered to more than 11,000 cities and towns nationwide — a larger footprint than Amazon Prime.

Congratulations to the entire Roadie team and the outstanding Atlanta companies that join us in this recognition!
