Startup Spotlight
After we landed, the Roadie SXSW team headed straight for Startup Spotlight in downtown Austin. While there, our CEO and Founder Marc Gorlin and our COO Dennis Moon met people wanting to learn more about emerging startups and in particular, find out how Roadie could help them. From new gaming platforms to social farming devices, there was no shortage of startups aiming to disrupt their industries.
Surprise Ludacris Show
Little did Austin know that Ludacris would be going from bar to bar throughout the night to put on surprise shows for SXSW’s best partiers. Lucky for us, we had the inside scoop and were able to come along for the ride. Needless to say, Ludacris put on an incredible show!
6th Street Swag
SXSW wouldn’t be SXSW without spending all week on 6th Street, the notorious Austin street that is home to street performers and thousands of people traveling from bar to bar hoping to catch their favorite band live. The Roadie team, of course, decided to hang out on 6th Street as well, passing out swag and telling people about the app.
The Pitch
The Roadie team had been looking forward to this all week. At a session on Emerging Platforms, Marc would tell a room of investors, tech journalists, and early adopters why Roadie disrupts the traditional shipping industry. If you missed it, watch the pitch below:
